Thickly Wooded Forest (RPG)

A thickly wooded forest blankets the ground from the Sun's rays. Darkness engulfs the surrounding landscape and the scent of rats hangs in the air. Deep into the forest shrieking laughter foretells of the presence of goblin shaman. This will not be a pleasant walk in the woods.

A stout Man stumbles through the thick forest underbrush. A rat brushes upon his boots and he knows a battle will soon commence.

Rat: 10 dmg, 0 armor, 15 hp (10/0/15)

Josh rolls a 1. His attack misses and he takes 8 dmg.

the MAN recovers from yesterday's battle (10+ life). He draws his weapon and attempts another attack,

(rolls 6)

The MAN lunches forward and slices the rat in two before the rat has any time to attack pack. Victory!

The MAN receives 20 XP!

The MAN's expectations of trouble were not far off. Not deterred however he marches further into the forest. The scent of the Shamans cauldron wafts into his nose. Slightly fear filled he knows me must not be deterred. The man sees a lvl 2 Armored Rat ahead (A:15 D:2 L:20). He begins to walk lightly and just when he is close enough he attack (R:3) he lunges for the rat bringing his weapon down on the rats back but ensuring a quick victory but before the rat breaths its last it digs its teeth into the arm of its executioner, dealing 15 dmg.

Josh gets 40xp! and loses 15 HP!

Striding past the treeline, a Sorceror feels the air around him thicken. It crackles with energy as his Mana force regenerates after a long journey. He can sense the presence of several Giant Rats in these woods, but nothing near--

Out of nowhere appears Dark Rat, having hidden with Stealth [lvl1, dmg 8, Arm 0, hp 12]. It lunges straight for Sorcerer's throat!

Sorceror rolls the dice...

The member 'Caleb' has done the following action : Dice Rolls

Before the Rat has time to reach him, Sorcerer lashes out and deals it a mighty blow (10dmg).

The Rat is weakened but still alive.

The MAN begins to feel comfortable in these woods. Two Rats down and not soul in sight. The air however feels more energetic, hopefully fellow traveler and not that forsake Shaman are filling the air with energy. Pushing into the darkening forest the MAN stumbles across another would be foe, this time its a champion! Mother Rat and her Swarm (lvl2 A:15 D:0 L:20)! the MAN strikes fast at the Mother Rat, he knows the children are helpless without her guidance.

The MAN misses, as he strikes the Mother Rat rolls over and her children all attack at once dealing massive dmg! -15hp!
The MAN has no time for a second attack but lets off a Minor Heal 10+ HP and -3 Mana!

Crashing through the undergrowth, a Sapling appears. Though it is fresh out of the nursery (get it, because trees come from nurseries??) it is still a force to be reckoned with.



Seeing a MAN and Sorcerer in danger, it joins the fight. A Vicious Iguana(lvl1 A:7 D:0 L:10) crawls out from under a rotting log. The Sapling attempts to smash the Iguana with its mighty trunk.

(Hm, the dice thing didn't work. I found one online and rolled a 4 though.)

The Iguana bites the Sapling! It's razor sharp teeth make large holes in the bark, but the Sapling is unaffected by its poison. -4 damage.

The Sapling bashes itself into the Iguana (17 damage), crushing it before it has time to scurry away.

Sapling gets 20xp! and lost 4 HP!

Mother Rat and her Swarm (lvl2 A:15 D:0 L:20)

The MAN returns for his missed fight and strikes for a second time against the beasts, rolling off his back he turns to jab at the creature.

The MAN misses again and takes 15dmg from the swarm of little rats!

Conjuring up a Dark spell, Sorceror casts Incinerate (10dmg) on the weakened Rat, destroying the remainder of its lifeforce. The overlarge rodent burns to a toasty crisp.

Sorceror gains 20xp! And loses 3 mana!

Brushing bits of rat off his fingers, the Sorcerer continues walking deeper into the forest. He almost attacks a tree that seems too sentient, but notices it smashing some rats and decides not to. His mana is regaining strength after that last attack (+1.5), and yet he can't shake off this feeling like he's being followed...

...but for now, on the path ahead, there lumbers a hulkish Fat Rat (lvl2 A:15 D:1 L:20), pawing the ground, hungry for human flesh. Except Sorcerer is not quite human...

The member 'Caleb' has done the following action : Dice Rolls

'Attack Dice' : 3

Amazingly, the obese Rat throws itself into the air and lands directly on top of the wizard, dealing 13 damage! Sorcerer is pinned underneath its fleshy bulk, and only manages to jab its side, dealing 9 damage! if only he can muster the strength to push it off before his lungs are crushed...

Rat: HP11
Sorcerer - 13HP

(Edit: For a while I had forgotten to add my 10dmg from stats to the baseline of 10dmg that everyone starts with, so that's why my dmg jumped from 10 to 20 all of a sudden. but i'm going to keep the old moves because i don't want to do it all over again. Let's just say...Sorcerer casts Awakening, and suddenly remembers that he is twice as strong! +10dmg! :-)

The Man attempts a third attack at the Mother Rat, this time he steadies his nerves and take a slower but direct strike at the Rats heart.

The MAN hits for 25 dmg, killing the Mother Rat, the children however attack his arm before they scurry away in fear. The MAN recieves 40 xp. And loses 15 hp.

Level Up!

Fat Rat (lvl2 A:15 D:1 L:11)

Pushing the mountain of fat far enough to tuck his feet underneath, Sorcerer kicks the Rat off and braces for another attack.

Unexpectedly, Fat Rat lets out a Belch, stunning Sorcerer and causing 10 damage.

Sorcerer loses 10 HP!
Sorcerer is stunned, and cannot cast Spells!
